Lewis Brown will captain the Panthers this afternoon in their clash with the Sharks, and will start at prop in jersey #20. Jeremy Latimore will play from the interchange bench to accommodate Brown. David Simmons will play his first NRL game for the season in the centres in place of Dean Whare, while Will Smith will replace James Segeyaro at hooker in jersey #19.

As reported earlier in the week, Paul Gallen is out for an extended period. His position in the Sharks side will be taken by Jayson Bukuya, with Sam Tagataese added to the interchange bench in his place. Michael Ennis and Wade Graham are joint captains.

Gerard Beale will play his 100th NRL game.
