Tuesday's Expert Wrap - NRL Round 25

We've arrived at the end of Round 25 of the 2014 National Rugby League Telstra Premiership! Check out all the results, reports and player of the year points right here.

The penultimate round of the regular season again kicked off on Thursday night with the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs slogging it out at ANZ Stadium in a physical clash. The Rabbitohs took that one to ensure they maintained a chance of claiming the minor premiership. On Friday the Broncos knocked the Dragons out of the race for the eight, then on Saturday the Knights derailed the Hayne Train to put a big dent in the Eels' chances of qualifying. The 5:30pm game then saw the Raiders down the Tigers in a dour contest which had no bearing on the premiership race. Saturday night closed with a high quality contest between the Roosters and Storm, with the reigning premiers dominating the second half to record a 24-12 win at Allianz.

Sunday's matches saw the Warriors wallop the Titans 42-0 to keep themselves in the hunt, then a top-four thriller where Manly pipped Penrith on the bell to maintain their first place on the table. The loss now leaves the Panthers at risk of falling outside the eight. On Monday, the Cowboys did it tough but eventually grabbed a golden point win over the last-placed Sharks in Townsville.
