The Roosters can crow

In wet conditions, the Roosters have come away crowing, beating the Eels 18-4.

Right from the first whistle, Sydney Roosters were committed to putting on a good performance, both in defence and attack.

The Eels seemed to falter in the wet conditions, making a lot of unforced errors.

In front of a vocal crowd of 12, 093, the Roosters manged to keep the Eels from scoring a try. The first time this has happened since Round 20, 2000.

Eels 4(Tries: Goals: Hodgson 2/2)

Roosters 18(Tries: Mullins, Hodges, Wing. Goals: Fitzgibbon 1/2. Phillips 2/2)
