ball-storm-00.jpg

The Storm last night broke through for its first win of the 2009 NRL pre-season at Princes Park.

Off-season recruit Willie Isa, signed from Penrith at the end of last season, scored two tries in the opening 15 minutes to help get Melbourne on course for a comfortable 32-24 win over Newcastle Knights.

After dropping their opening trial to New Zealand in Hamilton over a week ago, the Storm hit back strongly - despite resting NRL regulars Dallas Johnson, Cooper Cronk, Sika Manu and Will Chambers.

In front of a bumper family day crowd, Melbourne put the trial game out of the Knights
