Judiciary news

North Queensland have suffered a further blow following their embarrassing loss to the Wests Tigers with centre Paul Bowman charged by the NRL match review committee.

Bowman is facing a one-match ban, regardless of what plea he enters, after being charged with a grade one dangerous throw on Tigers prop Bryce Gibbs in the 54-10 loss at Leichhardt Oval on Monday.

Cowboys backrower Sione Faumuina, however, has not been charged despite being put on report for a swinging arm on Gibbs.

Meanwhile, South Sydney backrower David Fa'alogo has escaped suspension after pleading guilty to a striking charge on Gold Coast prop Ian Donnelly arising from Saturday's win at Telstra Stadium.

Bulldogs skipper Andrew Ryan will fight a high tackle charge at the NRL judiciary tomorrow night in a bid to play in Friday's crucial clash with Parramatta at Telstra Stadium.
