Melbourne Storm has received some welcome relief on the injury front after five-eighth Scott Hill was cleared of any serious damage to the shoulder he re-injured in last weeks loss to the Cowboys.
Any fears that Hill would require a season-ending shoulder reconstruction were allayed today following arthroscopic surgery that revealed no more than bruising to the 25-year-olds left rotator cuff.
Scotts rotator cuff was swollen and bruised and some tissue was removed but there were no underlying tears of any structures in the shoulder, Storm doctor Greg Hickey said.
We expect him to make a full recovery fairly quickly. The procedure hes had today has turned out to be relatively minor so we are looking at four to six weeks for him to return.
Hill first injured his shoulder in the Storms round one win over the Sharks and after missing three matches aggravated the injury midway through the first half of last weeks match in Townsville.
