Harlequins Rugby League is delighted to announce that former Bronco, Billy Peden is set to return to the capital to join the club's coaching team.
The former London Bronco and Scottish International will return to the capital at the end of this season to join the Quins RL coaching team on a three year deal.
Peden played in and won two NRL Grand Finals with Newcastle Knights scoring two tries in the 2001 victory against Parramatta.
The former Newcastle Club Captain helped London Broncos to its first ever play-off appearance in 2003 before returning to the Knights as a key member of Michael Hagan's coaching staff.
Quins RL Head Coach, Brian McDermott is delighted with the appointment: 'I'm really looking forward to working with Billy. I've played against him and I know what he's made of.'
I know he's been making waves out there with Newcastle on a performance front and I know he has a lot of respect from his players. If his players respect him, that's good enough for me.'
Quins RL Director, Tony Rea added: "He's a quality person and a loyal servant to London. He is highly skilled, a great coach and passionate about this club.'
Bill Peden commented: "I'm delighted to be returning to a club which holds so many fond memories. We will have some exciting challenges ahead of us.
