Wath Brow Hornets Paul Davidson has been named the 2004 BARLA player of the year.

Davidson, a prop or second row forward, has represented the BARLA Great Britain Lions on tours of Australia and in Russia for the Victory Cup. He has also represented Cumbria County and was part of the victorious Emerging Nations squad in 2000.

Lions Manager Neil Baxter was full of praise for the player. He said, Paul has been outstanding at club and international level.

He added, He played a key role in our success at the Victory Cup and was a great influence on tour in Australia.
