NEWCASTLE SIGN UP THE NEW JOHNS The Newcastle Knights have signed up exciting Brisbane Easts half-back Dane Campbell as a possible successor to Andrew Johns when he finally decides to hang up the boots. The 21-year old Campbell is planning to break into first grade next season, at either five-eighth or off the bench. Find out more in the latest issue of Rugby League Review.

KANGAROOS SET TO PLAY AGAINST THE USA TOMAHAWKS The match between Australia and the United States is expected to go ahead after fears that the clash would not be staged. The Australian Rugby League (ARL) were concerned about a number of issues including the venue for the December 1 game. The NRL Operations Manager met up with American National Rugby League (AMNRL) General Manager David Niu in New York to oversee the progress. Find out more in the latest issue of Rugby League Review.

LOCKYER TO CAPTAIN AUSTRALIA Darren Lockyer will captain the Australian side in the forthcoming Tri-Series against New Zealand and Australia. Lockyer is one of six Brisbane players to make the squad, joining Shane Webcke, Brent Tate, Tonie Carroll Petero Civoniceva and Shaun Berrigan. Details in the latest issue of Rugby League Review.
