Broncos hold out Dragons

The Brisbane Broncos have kept their slim finals' chances alive after defeating the St George Illawarra Dragons 26-24 in front of a very vocal crowd at Lang Park.

It was not all good news for the home side though with Justin Hodges injured halfway through the first half and likely to be sidelined for at least nine months.

Both sides got off to rocky starts in the match, with plethora of penalties and errors from both sides in the first 15 minutes before Broncos rookie Jordan Drew opened up the scoring in his first first grade match. Scott Prince added the extras.

The Dragons hitback shortly before the half through Adam Quinlan who did all himself. Josh Dugan added the extras to level the scores.
