The visitors made a good start to the game but their handling errors gave the initiative to the Giants, who took the lead with a Leroy Cudjoe touchdown in the corner. Minutes later Cudjoe added another and soon after hooker, Shaun Lunt burrowed his way over from dummy half as the hosts led 16-0 after 30-minutes. Bradford hit back in the final ten minutes of the half prompted by on debut ex-Sea Eagle Matt Orford. They cut the deficit at the break to 16-8 with two unconverted tries from Stuart Reardon and Rikki Sheriffe. David Fa’alogo increased Huddersfield’s lead with an early second half try but the Giants were let down by poor discipline as Luke Robinson and Lee Gilmour were sin-binned during the half. In the last quarter of the game the Bulls pounded the Giants but stout defence led only to one consolation try from Reardon as Huddersfield ran out convincing winners. In a carbon copy reply the Tigers got on the scoreboard from Bret Sherwin’s kick which was pounced on by James Evans. On the stroke of half-time ex-Titan Centre Brett Delaney scored his second try for his new club as the hosts led 10-6 at the interval. Leeds missed some chances at the start of the second half and Castleford made them pay as tries from Joe Westerman and Sherwin gave the Tigers an 18-10 lead. In the last ten-minutes of the game Rangi Chase, who had a good game, set up ex-Rabbitoh Dean Widders to clinch a well deserved win which made up for their 76-12 flogging they suffered on their previous visit to the ground last August. Oliver Elima put the Dragons into the lead but just before the break the game was back level at 10-10 as Luke George added a try. At the start of the second half with new signing Dallas Johnson in the sin-bin Catalans re-took the lead as Sebastian Martins powered his way over the line. The Wildcats then took control and with two quick-fire tries from teenager Dale Morton and ex-Bull Glen Morrison. Morton sealed the game on 69-minutes by scoring his second of the game after good work by Danny Brough.
