The St George Illawarra Dragons have today launched an innovative online marketing campaign for season 2010, featuring Club Ambassador and recently retired dual International Wendell Sailor and fan favourite, Jamie Soward.
The campaign utilises unique technology to “humanize the web experience” with several multi-dimensional video clips appearing across the clubs home page at www.dragons.com.au. These clips promote a range of specific opportunities for Dragons fans including Red V Membership, key Merchandise offers and social media platforms.
The campaign launch coincides with the full release of Red V Membership packages for the 2010 season while the new Reebok apparel range has now arrived and is available for purchase from the Dragons online shop, along with an exclusive 2009 “behind the scenes” double DVD.
“There are lots of exciting things happening at the Dragons at the moment with everyone gearing up for season 2010,” said Sailor. “The boys are back in training, I’m joining in some sessions as well as fulfilling my new off-field roles within the Club”.
“I’m taking my new role very seriously, although as you can see I did have some fun in the creation of these 2010 marketing videos,” Sailor added. “I’m sure that people will enjoy it and no doubt have a bit of a laugh, probably at my expense.
“But there are some important messages for Dragons fans and I want to help spread the word. I am passionate about the Dragons and want to ensure Dragons fans understand how important Red V Membership is to our Club.
“That’s why I have introduced “Big Dell’s 10k Challenge” for 2010, and have set a challenge for Dragons fans to help us become the first NRL Club in New South Wales to reach 10,000 ticketed members.
“I know the Dragons have great support all over the country so my message to those fans is clear; you need to become a real Dragon in 2010 and become a Red V Member. I know what it means to the players and the Club so get on board,” added Sailor.
