You've all made some interesting comments. After watching tonights' games I've got some comments to add on certain players. Jarryd Hayne (Eels) - against the Broncos (a heap of whom will be playing for the Toads) he was too inconsistent, gave away penalties for high tackles and caught out of position a few times. He flew through the air to take some amazing high ball catches but was not able to captilise on these opportunities. I wouldn't have him in the team. Has the ability to be a diamond but more likely a lump of coal. Peter Wallace (Broncos) - Controlled the match as a half back should. organised his team well and kicked prodigiously. His game allowed the ball runners and creative talent of Lockyer to run riot. I believe he has to be there to allow Campese to be at his creative best. John Sutton (Rabbitohs) - Is ready for the step up. His size and skill would be a massive benefit on the interchange bench. Can play forwards and backs. His foray into rep, city v country last year proved extremely fruitful. I hope he is a bolter. Here are some other observances; Jamie Lyon (Sea Eagles) - His ability is not in question but his heart is not in it. For this reason I'm going with Lawrence. I'd put Alan Tongue on the bench as he can cover half and hooker. This would aleviate the need to take two positions up on the bench for specialist half/hooker. I too can't believe that Nathan Hindmarsh isn't in the top 40 players in NSW. You could cut his heart into 17 pieces, put it in the rest of the NSW Squad and still have some left over. Here is my team; Kurt Gidley (Knights) 2. David Williams (Sea Eagles) 3. Chris Lawrence (Wests Tigers) 4. Matt Cooper (Dragons) 5. Joel Monaghan (Raiders) 6. Terry Campese (Raiders) 7. Peter Wallace (Broncos) 8. Luke Bailey (Titans) 9. Michael Ennis (Bulldogs) 10. Brent Kite (Sea Eagles) 11. Anthony Watmough (Sea Eagles) 12. Glenn Stewart (Sea Eagles) 13. Anthony Tupou (Sharks) 14. Anthony Laffranchi (Titans) 15. Ben Creagh (Dragons) 16. Alan Tongue (Raiders) 17. John Sutton (Rabbitohs)

Dane W - i think you've got the team pretty much spot on - besides a few players. I think the selectors will pick Colin Best on the wing to match Israel Falou under the high ball 9everyone knows Falou is a flyer when the ball is in the air). Also Ben Creagh will not be starting front row. He is a second rower and often plays more like a 3rd centre. Team will be: 1: Gidley 2: Best 3: Lyon 4: Cooper 5: Jennings 6: Campese 7: Wallace 8: Bailey (C) 9: Ennis 10: Weyman 11: Creagh 12: Watmough 13: Waterhouse Interchange: Farah, Laffranchi, Toupu and G. Stuart Reserves: Sutton, Robertson, Poore, Mullen, Lewis, Hoffman, Kite, Gallen

This is my nsw team, my bench its defiantly up for criticism as I wasnt sure about it. But Ive gone for a big defensive backline, these players have the ability to score tries but also have great defensive stats. The props I have chosen were also hard to pick being only 7 possibilities I went with career experience not only at rep level but also club level. The second rowers are big tough and very skillful. These guys can do a lot of damage. The halves will be the talking point of any team picked for NSW , I have gone with Mullen / Campese as they have both shown form and mullen is a more mature player than when he made his debut for nsw. I can guarantee this team will do the job. 1. Kurt Gidley (Knights) (C ) 2. David Williams (Manly) 3. Chris Lawrence (Tigers) 4. Matt Cooper (St George) 5. Colin Best (St George) / Jarryd Hayne (Eels) 6. Terry Campese (Raiders) 7. Jarrod Mullen (Knights) 8. Josh Perry (Manly) 9. Michael Ennis ( Bulldogs) (K) 10. Luke Bailey (Titans) (VC) 11. Glenn Stewart (Manly) 12. Anthony Laffranchi (Titans) 13. Luke Lewis (Panthers) 14. Robbie Farah (Tigers) 15. Brent Kite (Manly) 16. Alan Tongue (Raiders) 17. Anthony Watmough ( Manly)
