Wests Tigers will bring a beach theme to Bluetongue Stadium, Gosford, on Saturday, May 5, for the clash with the Melbourne Storm. The main game sees the home team, Wests Tigers, on the back of consecutive wins against Cronulla and the Bulldogs, take on the undefeated competition leaders in the Storm at 7.30pm. Lining up for Wests Tigers will be Central Coast juniors Chris Heighington and Ryan O’Hara. Heighington is a product of the Umina Bunnies club with O’Hara playing his junior football with The Entrance Tigers. The lead-up game at 5.30pm sees the big clash between Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies – the feeder clubs to the Wests Tigers. Gates open at 5pm. Wests Tigers has arranged some exciting on-field entertainment for the match. Children from four junior rugby league teams on the Central Coast will participate in exhibition games at half-time and at full-time of the Premier League match. The lovely Wests Tigers Kittens will perform a beach theme routine prior to the first grade match. At half-time of the first grade game, more than 300 representatives from Central Coast surf life saving clubs will perform in relays as part of the Wests Tigers tribute to 100 years of surf life saving.
